Women in Theatre Series

New Rep Family, we have a special class coming to you this March! Katrina Z Pavao (Jeanie in New Rep’s HAIR!) will be offering a Women in Theatre Series to celebrate Women’s History Month. Once a week starting on March 10, join Katrina in celebrating the accomplishments of female directors, choreographers, playwrights, designers, stage managers and actors through learning about their work and bringing it to life. Some artists include: Rachel Chavkin, Agnes de Mille, Lynn Nottage, and Young Jean Lee.

Class will take place on ZOOM on four Wednesdays in March from 7-8:15 pm EST (see specific class dates below). Class is donation based. We will not turn anyone away if they are unable to contribute. For those who can financially contribute, we appreciate your support. 50% of the proceeds will go to New Black Mutual Aid and the other 50% to New Rep’s programming around access and inclusion.

New Black Mutual Aid

Attempting to create a safety net for our black theater folks to be able to protest (arrive and depart safely with the necessary supplies), rest, survive, and/or speak out against the racism that is pervasive in the Broadway and Off Broadway Community. This fund will be used for everything from Lawyer fees to protest supplies to cab fare to delivery.
