Purchasing Tickets

Ticket Prices

Student Tickets

Anybody with a student ID (high school, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate programs) may purchase tickets to any performance in advance for $25. Student tickets purchased in advance will be held at will call, and you must present your valid student ID to the box office when you pick them up.
Student Rush tickets are sold at the door for $15, pending availability.

30/35 – Young Adult Tickets

Adults ages 18-35 may purchase tickets to any New Rep performance for $30. 30/35 tickets must be purchased over the phone, and your tickets will be held at will call. You will be asked to present a valid ID when you pick them up.

General Admission Previews

All tickets to preview performances for each production are $25. Tickets are general admission – this means that you will not be assigned a seat, and that seating arrangements will be first-come, first-served.

Accessible seating will still be reserved for these performances. If you have accessibility needs, please select tickets in from the Accessible Seating section. Show your accessible seating ticket to an usher when you arrive at the theater, and they will guide you to the available reserved seats.

Frugal Fridays

Prices for all Friday evening performances of plays are $40 to $45. Prices for Friday evening musical performances are $50 to $55. Seats in the last row of the theater cost $25. These performances will have assigned seating.

Senior Discounts

Adults ages 65+ save $5 per ticket purchased.

Blue Star Theatres Military Discount

As a proud Blue Star Theatre, New Rep has partnered with the Theatre Communications Group and Blue Star Families to provide opportunities US military personnel, veterans, and their immediate families with discount theatre tickets. Service members and their guests receive half-price tickets to all New Rep performances. Please use code BLUESTAR when ordering by phone or online.

Blue Star Theatres is a collaboration between Theatre Communications Group and Blue Star Families, with leadership support from the MetLife Foundation.

EBT Card to Culture

WIC/EBT and Massachusetts Connector Care card holders are eligible for 2 free adult + 2 free children’s tickets to any of New Rep’s performances. Card to Culture tickets must be reserved in person or over the phone, and your WIC/EBT or Connector Care card must be presented when picking up your tickets from will call. Participants may use the Card to Culture discount once per production.

The Card to Culture program is supported by the Mass Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance.

Group Sales

Groups of 10+ are eligible to receive discounts of at least 15% off. To learn more or schedule your group tickets, please email groups@newrep.org, or call our box office at 617-923-8487.

Regular Tickets

If none of the above options work for you, you may purchase tickets to any performance for prices starting at $25. Visit this website to see which tickets are available for your desired performance date.

Ticket Policies


Like all theater companies, we are required to pay fees for facilities and ticket services that are beyond our control. All advertised ticket prices include these fees.

Exchange Policy

You may change dates/exchange any purchased tickets (pending availability) for nominal fee of $5 per ticket exchanged.

Refund Policy

Any tickets purchased through New Repertory Theatre are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend your performance, we encourage to exchange your tickets for a different date or a different production. If you no longer wish to attend your scheduled production or any others at New Rep, you may donate your tickets back to theater, and will receive a tax write-off letter.
