First time attending New Rep? Start here!
Tickets to New Rep can be purchased online, over the phone, or in person before the show (pending availability). Prices start at $25. We have a wide variety of pricing options for students, young adults, senior citizens, military personnel, WIC/EBT card holders, and others. Visit our Ticket Info page for more information.
Our production programs are filled with useful information about the show, artists, and company. In an effort to reduce our ecological footprint, New Rep will no longer print programs. The programs will be available on our website and emailed to ticket holders before the show. You can also access them by scanning a QR code at the theater.
New Rep performs at the Mosesian Center for the Arts (MCA), located at 321 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Check out our Directions & Parking page before your visit so that you’re clear on where to go!
New Rep does not have a dress code! Please wear whatever makes you comfortable. We do recommend layers, as the temperature in the theater can vary, and we ask that you leave large bags at home.
We suggest patrons arrive 30 minutes prior to the performance start time. This will allow enough time for you to park, pick up your ticket, use the restroom, grab a drink and snack, and get to your seat before the curtain goes up. Late-seating is not always available, and you won’t want to miss any of the show.
Yes! There are numerous places to eat close to our theater, ranging from fast-casual to higher-end dining. Our Area Dining page is a great place to start, with restaurants tried and tested by the New Rep staff.
Yes! Concessions (snacks, beverages, and alcohol for those 21+) are available for purchase in the MCA lobby before the performance and at intermission. We ask that you kindly finish your snack in the lobby, so as to avoid any disruptive rustling or crunching during the performance.
During cooler months, we will have a coat rack available in the lobby, but we do not have a supervised coat check area. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
There are accessible restrooms on all three levels of the (MCA), but we recommend that you use them before the show begins or at intermission, when you’ll get a 15-minute break between acts. However, not all shows have intermissions; some run for 90 minutes without a break. If you leave during that time, you will be seated at the discretion of the usher when you return, not necessarily in your original seat. You can learn whether or not a show has an intermission on our website, in the email we send ticket holders 24 hours before a scheduled performance, or from an usher or staff member at the theater.
Photography or recordings of any kind are strictly prohibited by our licensing rights, as well as contracts protecting artists and their work.
The best way to get up-to-date information, learn about our performances, and hear about other events such as backstage sneak peeks is to sign up for our mailing list. You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for daily content and the most recent news.
Yes! During a performance, emotional responses such as clapping, laughing, and crying are not only welcome but encouraged. However, noises like talking, phones ringing, and paper rustling should be avoided, as they are disruptive to other theatre-goers and to the artists on stage.
And lastly, please be careful what you say inside the theater! Many of the people around you have either worked on the production or are friends, family, or fans of the show and the artists involved. Negative comments and spoilers are best shared outside the theater space.
