But the point which drew all eyes, and as it were, transfigured the wearer...was the scarlet letter, so fantastically embroidered and illuminated upon her bosom. - HAWTHORNE

In a small Puritanical New England town, Hester Prynne causes scandal by giving birth to an illegitimate child and refusing to identify the father. This great American classic is a searing exploration of adultery, sin, and forgiveness in which Hawthorne created America’s first true heroine.

On Monday, November 1, 2010 at 7:30pm we invite New Rep patrons, donors, and theater aficionados to join us for a special performance of New Rep On Tour’s production of The Scarlet Letter

A $20.00 donation is suggested for this performance. All proceeds go towards New Rep On Tour.

Please call the Box Office at 617-923-8487 to reserve tickets or for more information.
