Rick Lombardo directs fellow 2004 Elliot Norton winner Leigh Barrett, 2003 IRNE winner Nancy E. Carroll, SWEENEY TODD cast members Todd Alan Johnson and Evan Harrington, and Boston’s Bat Boy, Miguel Cervantes, in Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning musical fable that asks the question: What happens after “happily ever after”?

The faces and names are familiar: Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, – but the intricate themes of these epic fables conjure cautionary morals about modern relationships, communities, and society. Sondheim’s brilliant music — together with bakers, witches, and competitive, vain handsome princes straight out of the Brothers Grimm — vividly illustrates the potential for treachery in our innermost wishes.
