A Message from the Board Michael McCay |

Dear Friends,
As with any major milestone, New Rep's 25th season is a time of celebration, reflection and, yes, transition. During this season, we will celebrate the successes that have been the product of the hard work of an amazingly talented staff. We will reflect on the journey that has brought New Rep to this milestone and the impact the organization has on our community. And, we will begin a transition of artistic leadership that will define the next chapter of New Rep's story.
This season will also mark a year of transition for our friend Rick Lombardo as he begins his new adventure on the west coast after 12 wonderfully successful years with New Rep. Rick has made an incredible impact on New Rep and is leaving a considerable imprint on the theatre scene in Boston and beyond. It has been a privilege to have worked with Rick and we will all miss him both professionally and personally.
To ensure a smooth transition of artistic leadership, we have begun our transition plan, including the formation of a search committee and launch of the search process for a new Artistic Director. We are very fortunate to have a strong, talented staff and engaged Board of Directors who will provide stability while we transition. We are confident that the opportunity that Rick's departure creates will attract a world class Artistic Director – a testament to the legacy Rick and the staff have built.
While change is inevitable, some things remain steadfast: the artistic excellence that is showcased in every New Rep theatrical experience and a commitment to arts education through our student matinees and touring in-school productions
I hope you find this season to be meaningful, memorable and entertaining and that you will join New Rep as we look to the future with great anticipation and excitement. I invite you to contact me directly if you have thoughts and ideas on New Rep and our future. I can be reached at michaelmccay@newrep.org
Sincerely,

Michael McCay
Chair, Board of Directors
