New Rep Takes Home Four Awards From the 2007 IRNEs, Sweeping three of the Seven in the musical category

The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) held their annual awards ceremony on Monday, March 19, 2007. New Repertory Theatre received four awards, for the 2006 calendar year. Two of New Rep’s productions were honored at the ceremony, with Ragtime, sweeping three of the seven awards from the Musical category.

New Repertory Theatre’s IRNE Awards for 2007

  • Best Actor – Drama or Comedy, Bates Wilder for Frozen
  • Best Music Direction of a Musical, Todd C. Gordon for Ragtime
  • Best Director of a Musical – Rick Lombardo for Ragtime
  • Best Musical, Ragtime

Next up at New Rep from this Award-Winning team is Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party April 25 – May 20, 2007 on the Mainstage in the Mosesian Theater. Rick Lombardo will direct, and Todd C. Gordon will return as Music Director.
